The lovely Stacey and Ashlee of JPG Photography had a booth across from mine at the Lovesick Expo a couple weeks ago, and they were kind enough to take some professional pictures of my display! I have worked with JPG in the past, and they are one of my favorites for wedding photography. There are the “candids” that every photographer offers, and then there’s the completely unique, journalistic approach that these guys take, breaking your wedding memories out of the cookie cutter mold.
The lovesick expo (four years old) takes place at The World Cafe live in West Philly. It is smaller and cooler than any wedding expo I’ve ever heard of, AND , it takes place in a really dark music venue/bar, so I get to march out my army of candles. Above are some of the three dozen gold and clear glass hanging votives that flanked the branchy arbor/chuppah we built right up to the low ceiling of our balcony perch.
There’s a lot going on with our display… I might have gone a bit overboard. It looked amazing though, with the starry backdrop, the hanging “curtain” of ivy and ginestra flowers, the tangled branch roof, the birch tree frame, the fern filled garden pots at the base… such a shame to set all this up for only four hours. Sigh. Such is the wedding business.
Points if you can spot my bluecoat and soda hidden in the display!
